Understanding the Entrainment Behavior of Gangue Minerals in Flake Graphite Flotation

Flotation is one of the most used methods to upgrade natural graphite resources. However, efficiency usually decreased due entrainment undesirable fine gangue minerals. In this work, impact different factors such as particle size, pulp density, and flotation reagent on mica quartz in a flake was studied. The single mineral results showed increased when reducing size minerals increasing density. Moreover, artificial mixtures indicated enhanced presence particles. collector frother also strongly affect by modifying structure stability froth. Kerosene, which has prominent deforming feature, can reduce more effectively than diesel.
